The Objective:

The Challenge:
To reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs, while enhancing light quality.
The Solution:
In this municipal building retrofit project, Stouch Lighting replaced the borough’s 4 lamp T-12 fluorescent fixtures with OptaLume reflector technology and energy efficient 2 lamp T-8 fluorescent fixtures.
The OptaLume reflector utilizes highly diffuse plastic substrate, greater than 97% reflectance across the visible spectrum, allowing light fixtures to be designed with more efficient light output.

The Results:
The reduced energy consumption assures considerable decrease in operating and energy costs. The Borough’s light levels increased, while energy expenditure was reduced by 66%. The new fixtures provided a brighter light without any glare, while drastically reducing maintenance costs as well.
