Toppa Field in Freebody Park (Newport, Rhode Island) is replacing their outdoor sports stadium lighting with LEDs. Several sport teams use this field including Rogers High School and Salve Regina University football teams. William Riccio, the city’s director of public services, said: “The existing metal halide lights use excessive amounts of electricity and are no longer reliable as they have exceeded their useful life.”

The City Council decided on a $343,000 contract with Cooper Lighting, LLC because of their affordable cost. During the bidding process, Musco Sports Lighting, LLC of Canaan, Connecticut came in at $364,822. Because of the quality and affordable price, the city chose Cooper Lighting, LLC to perform the project, which is one of our featured manufacturers
