LED Retrofit Canopy Lights for Parking Garage

ASTM International is an international standards organization that develops and publishes voluntary consensus technical standards for a wide range of materials, products, systems, and services.

The Problem

ASTM International was looking to utilize LED garage lighting at their corporate headquarters. They wanted to achieve a reduction in energy consumption and maintenance costs, as well as increase the foot candles provided by the parking garage lighting so that the garage would be brighter and safer.

The Solution

  • 175 watt metal halide fixtures replaced with 73 watt LED canopy lights

The Results

Below are images of the LED retrofit canopy lights as well as before images. The existing fixtures were replaced 1-for-1 with the LED fixtures. The increase in foot candles and improvement in CCT from the LED retrofit is clear.

  • KwH Reduction – 67,684 KwH
  • Lighting Energy Cost Reduction - $6,546
  • Annual Maintenance Cost Reduction - $5,242
  • Rebate Eligibility – $3,030
  • Greenhouse Gas Reduction – 86,336 lbs
  • Total Fixtures Replaced - 101
