LED Parking Lot Light Retrofit

The Problem

R.J. Waters & Associates was looking to reduce the energy consumption for the exterior lighting at F&N Shopping Center by completing a parking lot LED conversion. In addition to reducing the high cost of running the old lights, they were looking to improve the lighting environment for their customers by increasing overall light levels in the parking lot.

The Solution

  • 1000w metal halide parking lot lights replaced with 223w LED fixtures
  • Improved lighting quality by increasing color temperature (CCT) of lighting from 4000K to 5500K
  • Reduced light trespass by utilizing appropriate light distribution patterns
  • Increased average foot-candles to 1.66 throughout the parking lot

  • Energy Reduction: 79% reduction over existing lighting energy consumption
  • KWH Reduction: 63,812 Kwh reduction
  • Total Fixtures Replaced: 17
